And who gives two hoots if some ogre warrior is a bad cook, and she isn't a house wife who should be proud of her cooking either, she has other things she is good at and much more important responsibilities, why would that revelation that her cooking is bad be so terrible(other than to reveal that everyone around her has been too cowardly to tell her the truth for so long)?Įnough with having to tiptoe around her dangerously bad cooking, just end it already, Gobta almost got killed messing around the first time, that should've been where Rimuru drew a line. It's not like Rimuru is in love with her that way and should be afraid to make a bad impression. I get that it's supposed to be a comedy bit, or something, but a man not being able to tell woman she is a bad cook thing is so hackneyed, and it doesn't even really work with Rimuru's personality and position relative to Shion anyway, I don't really see why it makes sense. Probably the weakest decision Rimuru makes to continue going along with that and it doesn't make for a great introduction of Raphael's ability either, imo. She just got revived from the death, she can handle hearing that her cooking sucks. The real answer should be to tell the truth and say Shion's cooking tastes like s*** and stop coddling her for no reason.
